Day 30 Observation

Today is my last day observing the moon. I have observed the moon for 30 days, and it is now back in the full moon phase.

Day 29 Observation

With over 95% illuminated, the moon is still in the waxing gibbous phase. But it is almost in the full moon phase.

Day 28 Observation

The moon is almost a full moon with over 90% illumination. It was very cloudy tonight, so I could barely see it. It will be a full moon pretty soon.

Day 27 Observation

The moon is in the waxing gibbous phase, but it soon be a full moon. I observed the moon today around 7:00, and it clearly visible and clear in the sky.

Day 26 Observation

The moon is continuing to wax, so it is in the waxing crescent phase. I believe that the moon will become more visible in the sky; although I did not see it any today.

Day 25 Observation

The moon is over halfway visible, so the left side of the sun is becoming more visible. This phase is called the waxing gibbous phase. I also noticed that the moon is rising later and also setting later each day.

Day 24 Observation

The moon is 50% illuminated and since the right side of the moon is illuminated the moon is now in the first quarter phase. Next phase will the waxing gibbous phase.

Day 23 Observation

The moon was very visible in the afternoon sky, and it is still in the waxing crescent phase. Pretty soon, the moon will be in the first quarter phase.

Day 22 Observation

Tonight the moon is still in the waxing crescent phase.The illuminated portion and of the moon is getting bigger and is also starting to shine more to the left.

Day 21 Observation

Today the moon is still in the waxing crescent phase. I observed the moon while at Inverness Elementary, and it was very visible and clear.

Day 20 Observation

I saw the moon tonight and it was very pretty, but really cloudy. Tonight the moon is still in the waxing crescent phase. The moon-rise was around 11:30a, and the moon won't set until around 9:00 tonight.

Day 19 Observation

The moon is still in the waxing crescent phase. I finally saw the moon today, and noticed how the right side of the moon getting bigger towards the left.

I did not find the moon today because it has been raining all day! I drew a picture of what it should look like. The moon is still in the waxing crescent phase.

Day 17 Observation

I did not see the moon today but because yesterday was a new moon, I believe that the moon should be in waxing crescent phase.

Day 16 Observation

The moon is in the new moon phase! I drew a picture of what it should look like. An interesting fact about the new moon stage is that the moon is directly between the Sun and Earth. We see the side of the moon that is not visible because the side that is illuminated, is closest to the sun.

I could not find the moon this morning, so I drew what I thought the moon is suppose to look like. It is still in the waning crescent phase.

Day 14 Observation

The moon is still in the waning crescent phase, but in a couple of days it will not be visible. The new moon phase is the next phase, so the moon will not be visible.

Day 13 Observation

The moon was supposed to be visible during the day, but I could not find it for anything. I drew what I thought the moon was suppose to look like. The waning crescent phase will be ending soon, and the new moon phase will be starting.

The moon is shrinking, so it is in the waning crescent phase. I observed the moon early this morning.

Day 10 Observation

The moon is in the waning crescent phase. The moon stayed in the sky almost all day (that's what it seemed like), and I enjoyed looking up at it!

The moon is half way illuminated and it is still in the waning gibbous stage. I had a hard time finding it this morning because of the thick fog.

I didn't see the moon until this morning because I could not stay up to see it last night. But it was very clear in the sky. It was actually daylight when I saw it and the sun was also out.

Day 5 Observation

Tonight I couldn't wait up to see the moon, so I checked my moon app. According to my app, the moon would not rise until after 10p. The moon is still in the waning gibbous phase.

Day 4 Observation

Tonight the moon was really hard to find. I had to look at my moon app to find out when the moon was going to rise. And after waiting for it to rise, I saw that the moon is in the waning gibbous phase.

Day 3 Observation

The sky was very cloudy tonight and I couldn't find the moon. It rained today and that may be the reason why I could not find it, so I drew what I thought it would like around 9:30p.

Day 2 Observation

Tonight the moon is still full and it is the Harvest Moon! It is so pretty and orange. It is clear in the sky without any clouds. There are also a couple of stars out too.

Tonight is my first night observing the moon. I am glad I started tonight because the moon is in the full moon phaseTomorrow I predict the moon will still be in the full moon phase.
